One Piece, Five Ways ft. See Rose Go

By  |

Someone told me the other day, “In the time I’ve known you, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen you wear the same outfit twice.”

Still from Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion. Girl in towel looks at huge closet filled with clothes while saying "Okay, so I have nothing to wear."

While I do have a lot of clothing, I wear the same things ALL THE TIME.

The magic trick is making your clothes seems endless, and that is all in the styling.

While I do love a super dramatic piece that you can basically only wear once a year, I always try to make sure that I’m buying clothing that can be mixed and matched.

Every time I’m debating on buying something, I try to come up with at least three other pieces in my closet I can pair it with. This trick has saved me from spending money on clothes I definitely did NOT need.

Still from Mean Girls. Three girls are parked in a convertible, talking to a girl outside of the car. They're saying "Get in loser. We're going shopping."

But sometimes styling pieces multiple ways can be hard!

It’s easy to think of ten different ways to wear a black t-shirt, but what about things a little outside of that comfort zone?

Since I am OBSESSED with playing dress up, I wanted to help inspire your wardrobe a bit by taking one piece and showing you five very different ways to style it. I tried to keep the outfits diverse for every style of fashionista out there, so hopefully at least one will speak to you!

For my one piece, I decided to style this incredible Pleated Skirt by See Rose Go.

Maroon pleated jersey knee length skirt with black elastic waistband

This skirt is PURE HEAVEN.

The jersey is SO comfortable, stretching the perfect amount, but it also is thick enough to hold its shape. The cut flatters my hips like no other, and GOOD LORD IT HAS POCKETS. Seriously, going to live in this thing for ever.

Love this skirt too? Here are five ways you can style it for every occasion:

Burgundy on Burgundy

Top, Skirt: See Rose Go; Boots: Eloquii

The burgundy on burgundy is a classic go-to. I love pairing two pieces that look like one dress! I paired it with some classic booties for work, but this would be a great weekend casual with flats!

Drama Queen Stripes

Top: ASOS; Boots: Eloquii; Hat: F21

I love me some drama!! This skirt perfectly balances the bold stripes, and the hat adds so much attitude. I’ll be wearing this all fall, thank you.

Flirty Sequins

 Top: JCPenney; Boots: Eloquii

Sequins are one of my most favorite things! This subtle sparkle is perfect for a day to night shift. I see office Christmas parties in my future here.

Denim Date Night

Top + Heels: Eloquii

Chambray is ICONIC. It adds such a fun and sweet feel to this skirt, and the heels make it perfect for a brunch date with your favorite person.

Badass Polka Dots

Top: F21; Jacket + Bra: Torrid; Boots: Eloquii

This is hands down my fave outfit. This sheer shirt adds SUCH attitude without being over the top. This is a go-to bar outfit with the girls that makes me feel SO badass!
